My mom had macular degeneration which made her lose her independance - she had to retire and rely on others. For a fiercely independant woman it was hard. Imagine losing your sight? Tie your shoes, cross a street. all the things you'd miss - a sunset, fog in the grass, fall leaves changing colour, your child's smile. I volunteer with CNIB and they provide vital services to those affected by vision loss! Please join in the fight for sight!
Why I Walk
Did you know that every minute, three Canadians turn to CNIB for support, advice and information? Or that CNIB has been Canada’s primary source of support for people who are blind or partially sighted for 100 years? CNIB works to support thousands of Canadians who are blind or partially sighted each and every day, with personalized services including orientation and mobility, library services, emotional support, computer training and more.
For these reasons, I’m participating in Night Steps to help raise funds for CNIB. Please make a donation to my page and help CNIB and Canadians in our community see beyond vision loss.
