Why I Walk
Did you know that every minute, three Canadians turn to CNIB for support, advice and information? Or that CNIB has been Canada’s primary source of support for people who are blind or partially sighted for 100 years? CNIB works to support thousands of Canadians who are blind or partially sighted each and every day, with personalized services including peer support, one-on-one sighted assistance, access to assistive technologies, and opportunities to learn - and laugh! - in enriching social/recreational activities.
For these reasons, I’m participating in Night Steps to help raise funds for CNIB. Though I have poor eyesight myself, thankfully my vision can easily be corrected by popping in the contact lenses or sliding on the glasses. This is not the case for people I work with every day who need help learning new skills and strategies to survive - and thrive - with sight loss. Please make a donation to my page and help brighten the future for people living with sight loss.
