Dining in the Dark Barrie
Like you, we at the CNIB Foundation have been actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are using direction provided by the Ministry of Health to guide our decisions on how best to protect the health and safety of our donors, participants and staff. As the situation is dynamic, we continue to take action based on the most up-to-date advice from Canadian public health authorities. At this time, departments of health are highly encouraging social isolation, social distancing and avoiding crowds.
Postponement of Dining in the Dark
Out of an abundance of caution for your health and safety, we have made the decision to postpone our Dining in the Dark, set to take place on March 31, until further notice. Please accept our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Although we are sorry to postpone this much-anticipated event, your health and wellbeing, as well as that of everyone else who was scheduled to work at or attend the gala, is our utmost priority.
We are hopeful to reschedule this event for a later date. However, because of the uncertainty around health regulations at this time, we aren't able to confirm when or if the event will be rescheduled.
Your support is still greatly needed
Because we have been forced to postpone this event, the need for your support is now greater than ever. As you can understand, we rely on funds raised from our events to continue providing vital programs to people with sight loss in your community and across Canada.
To that end, we are hopeful you will be prepared to accept a tax receipt for the price of your ticket(s), sponsorship, and/or the in-kind donation you've made to the CNIB Foundation for this event.
We will ensure periodic communication in the days and weeks to come. In the meantime, please accept our deepest thanks for your patience and understanding.
